Upper Albany Main Street (UAMS) is proud to announce the official kickoff of Cohort 2 of the Digital Literacy Training Program, beginning Wednesday, June 25th. This innovative program, launched last year, aims to equip local business owners with the digital skills needed to succeed in today’s fast-paced economy.

Merchants who are interested in participating are encouraged to contact UAMS as soon as possible to reserve their spot in this transformative opportunity.

The Digital Literacy Training is more than just a course—it’s a bridge connecting merchants to essential technology and tools. The program covers key topics such as basic computer training, digital literacy, marketing and design software, software applications, and cybersecurity. It’s designed to help local entrepreneurs stay competitive, grow their businesses, and operate more efficiently in an increasingly digital world.

Cohort 1 wrapped up in March with great success. Many local business owners completed the program and received a brand-new laptop to support their continued digital engagement. After completion, participants are referred to SHEBA for advanced business solutions and support. This pathway ultimately makes them eligible to apply for a $15,000 small business grant through the City of Hartford—an impactful next step toward sustainability and growth.

If you’re a local merchant ready to grow your digital skills and tap into new resources, now is the time to act. Contact Upper Albany Main Street at 860-768-5743 to learn more and enroll in Cohort 2.
